Laura & Barry try to appreciate art.

Barry and I tried to appreciate some art.
We were partially successful, with the mist in the background, but we also got confused, as Barry shows here.
More success with the interactive art - here is Barry as a sculpture.
More Barry and Laura sculptures.
This is what happens when you lay on your arm too long.
Then we got into the Delorean and went into the future.
In the future, art is made with lighy which moves when you touch it (though it's not a touch-screen).
It is not easy to photograph with our cameras from the past.
This interactive light exhibit, called Teamlab Borderless, also has a climbing forest.
Plants grow on the floor where you're standing!
There was some psychedelic.
Kids got to draw their own light art, which then swam around.
Once we returned to the present, we started seeing sculpture everywhere.
And we really appreciated the giftshops. This one sells ear jewelry!
Rapey broaches.
The Cold/Lovey dog and the hedgehog dilemma, which is deep.
Finally "Everyone call me sea angel" and "You like my fluffly tail, are not you?"

Quantum, Cube-shaped, and Cameras

Barry and I did some museum-ing lately. Here is his brain learning about quantum mechanics:
We went to another special exhibit.
Several of our questions were answered.
Yup, a whole educational exhibit on poo!
In the cheeky fart chamber, you press the butts to make a sound, while learning key fart facts.
Singapore's toilet history is rich and speedy, but they didn't have mention the night soils.

We also went to the Camera museum, which is a little dryer.
There are a lot of cameras, about which I learnt some things, fleetingly.
In completely unrelated news, Santa had a bit of a tough year this year on Orchard Rd. I think he has a back injury due to heavy snow.
Potentially this cabbie did too - with the 5 flavours of Absolut displayed on the dash.
Barry has been practicing his magic card tricks, and is seen here with an enraptured audience.
He was also serenaded with a sax, and failed not to look awkward.

Mushrooms, Embedded Buddhas, and Conical Food Stands

Barbara and Gilles visited, and it rained so much that mushrooms showed up everywhere!
We got educated at the fabulous multimedia sensory Singapore Bicentennial experience, where Barbara got a crush on Sir Stanford Raffles (you can call him Bingley, if you're close).
We learnt about traditional agriculture too!
We also visited the model of Singapore. Here's our condo, including pools to scale.
Barbara showed appropriate reverence for the Big Buddha and his tiger guard.
Even as we go to go into his butt, where there is a secret reclining Buddha that you're not allowed to photograph.

I hung out with the "Shoplifting is a Crime" guy and his extra-smooth skin.
And we checked out some Engrish shirts.
Then it was time to eat.

Here, Gilles shows the correct way to food selfie.
There was a touch of fire, into which Barry and Barbara leaned.
And we finished it off with some conical food stands.
